Northeast MS CC

Established in 1941 and founded in 1948, Northeast Mississippi Community College has been an educational pillar of the Northeast Mississippi region for seventy (70) years. From its offering of transfer, career and technical classes, Northeast is able to offer a wide variety of choices for the most discerning student. Northeast offers a comprehensive listing of courses in day, evening and online formats that make it the top choice for many students looking to jump-start their educational careers. With some of the best-trained faculty and staff in the region, Northeast strives to prepare its students for the road ahead…whether it is transferring to a four-year college/university or beginning a career. On average, Northeast graduates, who choose to advance to a four-year college/university, have higher grade point averages (GPA) than students who attend a college/university for their freshman and sophomore years. Northeast’s career technical graduates also find success in their chosen fields following their time in Booneville, Corinth, New Albany, Ripley, Iuka and online. However, Northeast is more than academics. With a wide variety of activities, Northeast is able to cater to not only the academic side of the classroom but the social side of college life as well. Northeast students always have options from sitting in on a theatrical performance in Hines Hall to a Campus Country Showtime, going to one of the many events sponsored by the Northeast Student Government Association (SGA) or taking in an athletic event, Northeast sits on the cutting edge of helping a student balance their academic and social life in a college setting. If one wants to be more involved on campus, one can join the approximately thirty (30) clubs and organizations that the college offers in order to foster friendships in a shared interest.
